what you are going to read may seem super kaobei, but i hope everyone will take a moment to consider what is said here. although it may seem wrong to some, i believe it is still something to think about.

1) discipline. what this cca SERIOUSLY lacks is discipline. i understand that the cca is mostly made up by girls and that perhaps you all have a lot of things to gossip about. but don't you all think its going a bit too far when the talking carries on while instructions are being given, or when your COACH is speaking? it is if you all don't realise it. if you all listen, things can be done much faster, everyone can go home earlier. if you all listen, things can be done better because you know what you are supposed to do. if you all don't talk that much in class, why cant you all talk that much lesser in CCA? same principle..

2) urgency. instructions are given, wait for what? some people still stand around talking. cannot multi-task is it? maybe less talking more action.. or learn to multi-task can.. stand around wait for what. you want to talk during this transition can, but must know when to stop. like when you're ready. last year SYF, why lose until like that? exceed time.. maybe its an attitude everyone has, "oh can lag abit la.. " lag some more la.. you think what.. if everyone chop chop.. maybe we could have done it within the time. i might be wrong, but it is a possibility. unless you can prove that i am wrong, it is something to think about.

3) desire. last year's SYF was a disappointment to many. many people had made a mistake of just aiming to "do their best". subconciously, you won't be performing as high a standard as, say, SILVER. you need to set clear benchmarks and goals for yourself to drive yourself forward, instead of just "your best". you set a goal first, then you go all out to achieve it. this is where you give your best. if you give your best and fail, its ok, everyone is proud of you. if you didnt give your best and failed, you should go re-think yourself. go out 5% to win, 95% for those around you.

basically, its the attitude that needs to be improved. i understand that this problem has been created by the seniors one batch ahead especially. we are sorry that we have led you all down the wrong path. some of the current seniors have very good attitude, well done. but the rest, think about your attitude towards the CCA. if its something you are proud of, show it. if its just a social gathering, go somewhere else.

if you all win the GOLD but behave so unprofessionally, the GOLD doesn't mean anything. so, make the GOLD worth.
